Privacy policy

The short version: I only collect what I need to get an outfit to you and back, I never sell it, and you can ask me to see or delete it any time. Last updated 22 October 2026.

Who I am

DivsEdit is a small business run by Divya, a sole trader in Chatswood, NSW. In this policy, "I" and "me" means DivsEdit. I handle your personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What I collect

When you book or ask about an outfit: your name, phone number, email, event date, whether you're picking up or want it posted, your postal address if posting, and our messages. When you pay online, Stripe collects your card details; I only see the card type and last four digits. If you come to a try-on, I'll know you visited. If you send photos, I keep them. On the website, Google Analytics collects information about how the site is used (pages viewed, buttons tapped, rough location, device and browser) using cookies. Netlify, the website host, keeps short-term technical logs such as IP addresses.

Why I collect it

To take and manage your booking, take payment and refund your bond, get the outfit to you and back, answer your questions, keep tax and business records, prevent fraud, and improve the website. If you've asked to join my WhatsApp list, to send you new pieces and offers.

Marketing

I'll only send you marketing messages if you've asked to join my list or agreed to it. Every message tells you how to stop them: reply STOP, or tell me any other way, and I'll remove you straight away.

Who I share it with

Only the services I need to run DivsEdit: Stripe (payments), Netlify (website hosting, online bookings and booking requests), Google (Analytics, Business Profile, Sheets for my booking records, and website fonts), Meta (Instagram, WhatsApp and Facebook, when you message me there), ManyChat (automatic replies on Instagram), Metricool (scheduling my posts; it doesn't get your booking details), and Australia Post or another courier (your name and address, if posting). I don't sell your information or share it with anyone for their own marketing. I may share information if the law requires it.

Overseas

Several of these services store information outside Australia, mainly in the United States (Stripe, Netlify, Google, Meta, ManyChat) and the European Union (Metricool). I use well-known services that protect information with security measures and contracts, but overseas laws may differ from Australian law.

Cookies and analytics

The website uses Google Analytics cookies to count visits and see which outfits and pages people are interested in. It doesn't use advertising cookies. You can block cookies in your browser settings or install Google's opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout). The website still works without them.

How long I keep it

Booking and payment records: 5 years, because the tax law requires it. Messages and photos: only as long as I need them for your booking or you're happy for me to keep them. Marketing list: until you leave. Website analytics: up to 14 months.

Keeping it safe

Payments go through Stripe, so card details never reach me or the website. Booking details are kept in password-protected accounts that only I can use. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, I'll tell you and take steps to fix it.

Seeing, fixing or deleting your information

Ask me any time to see what I hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it (I'll keep anything the law makes me keep, such as tax records). I'll reply within 30 days, usually much sooner.
